The Constitution of the United States of America is what I use to travel freely within the United States of America.

Further, The US Congress Bill of Rights assures specifically to privacy in several amendments:

The Fourth Amendment to the Bill of Rights: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Furthermore, HIPAA/Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 is a federal law that requires the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge. The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued the HIPAA Privacy Rule to implement the requirements of HIPAA. The HIPAA Security Rule protects a subset of information covered by the Privacy Rule.
